I've noticed lots of folks sign on here, ask for invites, cracks, keygens and whatnot, then after getting the "no [fill in disallowed subject] requests allowed" message from the mods, either dissapear, or moan about it, then get banned...
My question is, why not just ban them outright ?

Probubley because the mods want to give them a chance if they didn't read the rules or something. Although most of them get banned anyway becasue of what you stated.
