all you have to do is apply a piece of aluminum foil to the two silver sensors.

Friends broke PS2 with Network Adapter - $0
MC jacked from Flockfluster - $0
ARMAX jacked from Damestop - $0
200GB HD on eGay - $40
HDL v0.8b via exploted MC - Priceless!

I'm having the same kinda problem, i used super glue and i imagine some glue leaked down into the switch and onto the motherboard because the disc drive wont spin. Ive removed the surface layer of glue so that the switch is now free to move, but the disc still wont spin even when the cover is closed. I imagine i'm f*cked at this point. Does Aluminium foil actually work as a bridge if you remove the rear switch?
