i installed the fliptop,i have the fat ps2

when i put a game in, the disc wobbles and does not stay in place, it makes grinding noises and the ps2 does not read there being a disk at all. i have tried re installoing the fliptop but the same problem happens. i am sure it is installed correctly as i did it for one of my freinds and his works perfectly. i have tried putting slight pressure on the fliptop when playing but i still have the same problem.

on my fliptop where the white disk goes (under the lid) there is a bump of the circle (looking down on my ps2), could this be causing the problem.
any help would be appriciated.
