You cannot make a copy of a boot disk because otherwise you would not need to have a boot disk in the first place :P

Well... You could make a copy of it but you will need something to boot it as the original swap magic is unqiely made and not just burnt reguarlarly, You can make a copy and use it to swap for a newer version though (ex: if you have swap magic 2.0 you can make burn and use a copy of 3.6 but either way it requires swapping) Hope i made sense :)

U can make a backup of swap magic.
But what they trying to say is you wont be able to play it, because swap magic is uniquely pressed to play on the ps2 not just burnt with a normal dvd writer :)

also whats the cheapest price youv seen for the 3.6 disk i got mine about a year ago with the slim line lid for about 50$, is the lid really necesary? it looks like all it dose is triger the button that makes the ps2 think its closed. i think i could also get away with just permanetly putting something in there to simulate it being closed and ready to go. id like to do this for my little bro. thanx

I got my swap magic disc for $19.99 USD and didn't buy anything for the lid (I have a slim PS2 as well) i used the tape and tissue mod which can be found here: http://www.geocities.com/pstwoslimline/tapetissue.htm As for the swap magic i purchased it from here: http://www.baysoftgames.com/magicswapv36.html But you may want to look around, maybe you will find it cheaper or no shipping cost.
