Samsung SH-D126C or wxRipper ?

If I understand correctly, the Samsung SH-D126C w/Kreon 0.8 is simular to the 360 drive so it makes backup 360 games possible or easier ?

However I recently read where the wxripper software allows for a hotswap method which makes owning this drive unnecessary ?

Are there any pros or cons either way ??

yes go the sh-d162c route, reads games way faster(only about 14 mins) with wxripper people are always getting errors, i have had my samsung and i haven't had one problem yet, some backups play better than originals. and with the sh-d162 drive just rip with schtrom360extract 3.0 and it leaves you with the image.dvd and image.000 file so when it is done all you have to is burn with clone then your done.

yep one of my games were scratched if you read the earlier posts ... ive just dumped two games on my hard drive using the samsung drive and xbox backup creator and schtrom its very easy indeed..:)

and im a newb to it all

Hey, didnt want to start a new thread and dont want to hijck this one but it makes sense to post here since its a similar issue and the original thread starter seems to be finished!

I just made a backup of one of my backups using the swap/wxripper method. All seems to be well and ss merger 1.6 reports the iso mdf to be fine. My issue is security sectors. Do I still need to inject the ss files or will all be ok to go ahead and burn? onlt 1 +DL left so dont wanna waste it! Since im using only the swap method I have no way in ripping the ss files myself, however i did find a couple on the net that ss merger reported as the wrong ones (i think). I have searched everywhere for ss files (and im not asking) so need to know if all is ok to go ahead and burn considering i made a backup from a backup!

most of the time ss merger stays red, as long as you got a valid region ss.bin rename it to iso file name open with ss merger merge even if it's red and burn always works for me.
