As this is the Mac board, WinDVD and the like probably aren't what you're looking for.

VideoLan Client is what you're looking for. Once it's installed, VLC will launch when VOBs are double-clicked. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Quicktime will play the video only (no audio) if the file's extension is changed from .VOB to an MPEG extension like .m2v or .mpg.

DVD Player can open complete VIDEO_TS folders, but not standalone VOBs.

No worries, download this small one :)

http://www.digital-digest.net/downloads/files/encode/VOB_Filters_104.zip

(run Windows Media Player and click FILE>OPEN>CHOOSSE YOUR VOB FILE AND PLAY)

all above is shit. I think this is what you need.

have a nice day amigo

mrcapone, if you're still monitoring this thread, VideoLan Client is the way to go.

The other responses apparently didn't notice this is the MAC board. Windows Media Player for Mac is a joke -- it'll only play WM-encoded files like .asf, .asx, .wmv...

Joke? Who knows.. :) You can play VOB files in Media Player with VOB filters very easyly. And i am sure you can do that with MAC too.

Blurp is right. Windows Media Player is a whole different animal on the Mac. VideoLan is the standard tool for opening and playing VOB files on the Mac.
