Ok here it goes I have a pc that connects to the net via wireless and I was wondering if it is possible to plug my ps2 into my pc via the eithernet port and use that to go online some how if it is possible then plz explain how

yes it is possible, you just plug a CAT5 crossover ethernet cable into one of the open ports on your router, then use the set up disc that came with your PS2 to set up the network.
You will most likely need to know the PC's IP address, Subnet mask, Default Gateway, and the 2 DSN addresses.
YOu get these by bringing up your DOS prompt (command prompt) by going to START->ALL PROGRAMS->ACCESSORIES and there is an option there for command prompt.
Then type ipconfig/all with no spaces and it will show you all the information.

another more expensive way to do this is to buy a good wireless gaming adapter (about $100) then you can connect to the wireless router without any cords once the adapter is set up with the correct information.

Remember that cetain things like firewalls and such can block you from making a connection. Also if your router has security enabled (which it should!!!) then you need to also have that information to enter so you can connect with a wireless adapter.
