I have a Sony DRU-510A dvd burner and when I'm in DVDshrink and hit the back-up button, the program shuts down. It happens every time I use this application. I've reloaded the app several times and still have the same problem... Please help if possible

DVDshrink is most likely shutting down due to an encryption issue that it's unable to handle. Try using any of these free rippers:

DVDfab decrypter
http://www.dvdfab.com/DVDFabDecrypter3038Beta.exe

Ripit4me

Or a 21 day free trial of AnyDVD
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

Note: some members have also had this happen when enable burning with Nero was checked in shrink, unchecking this option and burning manually did the trick.

There actually is a solution to this problem. Open DVD Shrink to one DVD file that is burned into your hard drive, or to a DVD in a drive. Instead of "backup" click on "analysis" and let DVD Shrink run a complete analysis of your DVD or DVD folder. DO NOT INTERRUPT IT AT ALL. LET IT FINISH. IF YOU WERE WORKING WITH A PARTICULAR DVD OR FILE WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED SELECT THAT ONE TO ANALYZE. THIS DOES CLEAR THE SHUTDOWN PROBLEM!!!
