Hi, Sorry to post what is probably a very n00bish question but i have had a look through and cant find the specific answer just a lot of complicated jargon
Basically i have two halves of a film and they cant be joined using Easy vid joiner /rejump movie joiner or virtual dub because the audio rates are at different samples (whatever that means).
Could you point me in the direction of an idiots guide, just something simple and easy to follow as it seems a very confusing area.
Just something to join them together, nothing to indepth it doesnt matter if it is a little out of sync afterwards, just so i can join them, convert them with winavi or whatever and make a dvd out of it.

thanks in advance.

sorry if this is not in the right place oor if it has been asked a million times before.

just FYI samplerate means the quality of which the audio is in. For example, audio CDs have a samplerate of 44,100 Hz, meaning that there are 44,100 segments, or samples of audio per second. DVDs use up to 96Khz samplerate, and HD audio is up to 192 Khz samplerate. Then there is bit depth, which is basically how many bits of data are used to describe each sample of audio. audio CDs use 16 bits, DVDs use 24 bits.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
