How to load everything on PS2 Help Please.

Just read an answer to a post by a guy called tmfloria about myps2 and elf and stuff and am intrequed, are there any step by step guides available telling of how to load stuff like this.

his post was:

Actually you can boot HDloader off the hd drive

You can launch it from the Hard Drive with launch elf

1st you boot an older ver of Myps2 (Ver .3 is what I'm using) via launch elf and exploit

you use it to create a partition on the drive for your elf files program files etc)

then use it to copy elf files (Including itself) to that partion , from USB Pen drive , CD Rom Mem card etc etc

Then you can delete those from your memory card and config launch elf to boot from the elf files on the hard drive instead of the mem card

So when my PS2 boots up it goes to Launch elf menu and I choose from things like Pgen (Sega Genesis Emulator) , Codebreaker (for my game saves that I can transfer from MC to Hard Drive) HDloader and Myps2

Any help would be great.

I have an Original PS2 (not slim) running HD Loader, I have a ARMAX with the AR2 card and MAX USB Drive and ethernet connection to the PC.

PS if possible i would not want to go down the "ModChip route" as shaky hands make it difficult to solder.

well first you need to get magic dust and blow it all over your ps2 and then if little mushrooms start growing everything will work.

bash247, what the hell?
master_x, you need some method of booting up launch elf such as a swap magic disk set, once you got those then yes you can boot these off of the hard drive.

I tried this out lastnight.
But when I tried to run hdloader off the hardrive through launchelf.
It showed some txt, then didnt do anything. Just froze :(*

Got Swapmagic, have loaded MYPS2 ELF onto a USB stick, and burned onto a CDR, The hard drive is in and now I don't get it, how do i run it so that the ps2 reads myps2 coz it comes up that its looking through the memory cards and USB but it cant find anything.
do I have to format or transfer the files in a special way.

and also how do I get HDLoader onto the hard drive as DVD Decrypter wont read the disc.
