i am having that disc error where it says that the xbox doesnt recognize the disc or it may be dirty or damaged.can someone help me fix this or any ideas.

get an Xbox lense cleaner from your local toys r us store or at any gaming store that should fix the problem

Most lense cleaners will destroy your Xbox lense! Unless they specifically say that's what it's for! Your best bet is to open the drive, blow it out with canned air and test! If still no go then you may have to try the Pot Tweak! If you have a Samsung drive, make sure that the laser can move freely allong the rail,sometimes they get stuck and some WD40 will loosen them back up!

i have cleaned the lense like they say in www.llama.com but still no good.whats that pop tweak.?

chunkhead, i was looking at the link you showed me and it says its only for the philips lense and i have the thomson lense.

Well thomson drives are fussy in reading disks.

Try a CD/DVD lens cleaner.

o well which xbox drive do you think is better.im going to buy one.

and one question if i have the thomson drive and let say i get a samsung drive will it work with my xbo or will i have to buy a thomson drive.

There is a link at the bottom of that page to the Thompson drive fix. I actually like the thompson, they respond the best the pot tweak! Phillips area nightmare and Samsung is the best! Also, as stated previously DO NOT use a lense cleaner in your Xbox!

It will scratch the laser, trust me on this! It will render the laser useless and you'll have to replace it!
