Mmm, don't know. I've read the DNAS list, but does it appear that you cannot play the back-up of this game online? Is that so?

Thanks.

The game itself still works, right? Oh, btw what if the game's name is like this "game name - PS2 NTSC Protocol" ??

What's the protocol means? Is it really a game then?

Thanks.

Yeah the game works fine in single player and all other parts, Not so sure what the protocol part in the title means but it MAY just be the name of the group that ripped it for example the group that ripped "Pop N Music 13 Carnival" The game were called "GANT"

Ehm, [sorry] the game seems to be 200 mb under .rar and it says

"PS2CD-PROTOCOL" , a cd? Do I burn it on the CD?
Then, should I use the CD version of swap magic as well?

Try "Thepiratebay.org" or "isohunt.com" Those are proper torrent sites.

Yeah it's an ISO for a cd-r ps2 based game so you will need a way of booting burnt games such as swap magic or a modchip and a blank cd-r to burn it on =)

Hey, I am not sure how to use Alcohol 120, but for this game, you don't need to rip anything, right? It's just plain burning. So I press "file" then open, select that BIN file and then I right click that icon and then "image burning wizard"" and burn? Thanks.

Oh, darn, well, it appears that I downloaded a lot of same-sized files. I was expecting them to be rar, but they are unknown. What kind of file extension can it be???

lol chill down bro, usally when you download ps2 games from torrents or other sites they will be many many split parts just use WinRAR to open the first one and extract it as if it were a WinRAR file, The sfv file means nothing you can delete it if you'd like but the others should say something like socom.001, socom.002 ect.... Just extract the first one and the rest will be extracted by itself along with it.

Omg, you didn't get it, did you?

There is not extract option because the file has adifferent extension than WinRAR. I do not know that extension because it doesn't say. What should I do? I've searched FILExt, but no.

I got it but here's the deal.... When you try opening it there should be 2 options... 1 is to find the file extension or 2 is to open the file with a program, Choose the second (open with program) And see if it opens with "winrar archiver" aka WinRAR, When i download games from torrent sites usually they do not show up as WinRAR compatitable but they are, not all WinRAR files have to be zip/rar just try opening it and see. If it doesn't work then i have no idea what kind of files they used (Maybe HJSplit) Also open the sfv file with wordpad/notepad it should maybe give some info in there.

Aww, I already tried that. It just gives me a miniature icon of WinRAR on the file. There is no option of extracting it. So I just clicked on it and it had some 4,000,000,000 kb file to extract.

Ok and to use swap magic cd, do I just do the same procedure as the dvd version? Oh, there is no need to decrypt this bin file in any way? I tried 120 mounting and it actually looked like a ps2 game e.g. system, module etc.

------edit------

Umm, about that select program thing, I might have overlooked something. It might have been 4,000,000,000 b. The names of each file was something like socom.041 socom.042 ... but when I did this option, it created 1 rar file called socom, and when I'll have more disk space, I'll see if that's an .iso there. Ok, back to that cd-thing.

when you open it with WinRAR there should be a option on top that says "Extract To...", Yes the cd and dvd are the same methods for booting as for decrypting you can convert it if you'd like but burning it with Nero or 120% should work just fine.

what does it mean to convert??? In 120, there is an option, when you try to burn file on cd, it says what kind of file it is....can you just say there that it's a "playstation 2"?

btw thanks.

---edit---

hmm, I guess I'll use Nero now, sorry ok. So do I just select file and burn?

OK, the cd-r is good. Burned at 16x. Works nicely but there is this tickling sound and jet-takeoff sound which makes me nervouse (the disc is spinning too fast?) Otherwise it works great, want to come over and play =). Thanks, now, the hardest one - Socom.
