OK...so the xbox360 uses a dual layer dvd drive and runs games in Windows CE?

PS3 can run other operating systems, such as Linux, and can read dual layer DVDRs (and has a minimum hard drive space of 20 GB).

Am I to assume then that some enterprising computer programmer would, without too much difficulty, be able to make a port of such platform showcases as HALO 3 for the PS3's added Operating Systems?

Sure, it would be bootleg, but all these systems have broadband connections and everyone's computer has a dual layer burner these days.

In this manner, Sony's openness to other OS's could allow them to offset any software advantage MS might have, and make viable the use of Linux as a gaming platform, hurting MS where it hurts...windows.

Am I right here? Is this possible? Probable?

I dont have a dl burner but on black friday i will i'll have a sony 16x for $20. Windows can run xbox 360 games?

In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

No and No to both. PS3 does not run Windows x86 architecture only a Linux based architecture and PC's do not play 360 games, although I think he meant Halo for PC and then a port but again still no.
