Need Quick Help With Memory Card Exploit

I'm new to ps2 modding, but I've been reading around for the last 2 weeks so I'm familiar with terms and whatnot.. and I'm proficient with this sort of thing, just need a little guidance here... :)

Hey guys, after searching for what seemed forever, I decided to get a Gameshark 2. I made a slide card. I did all of this, but then I realized that the Gameshark 2 is actually v 1.1 and it's slightly different from the ones you can swap out. I think.

My question is.. can I use the 'Gameshark 2' to swap out, and when? If not, is it possibly to install the exploit to the memory card without booting a cd. I AM ABLE TO TRANSFER FILES FROM A USB DRIVE TO MY PS2 VIA THE GAMESHARK 2's MEMORY MANAGER. I'm assuming this could even be easier than swapping. Anyway, what files would I need, and will this method work. Thanks alot guys.

I can make the exploit files and transfer them to the memory stick, but they arent triggered by the psx disk. Anyone?

You probly arent making the title.db file properly with your ps1 game.
R u sure you are inserting the title ID right?

I'm using the exploit generator that gets it from the CD in the PC's drive. If I'm copying the files over to the mem card thats ok? I dont need to make a package and install it specially like action replay's 'uncruncher'?

I dont know actually.

BUT! one time I tried using launch.elf to copy the same files I already had on my exploit cd (Which works all good when installing by cd)over to the mem card, but changed the boot.elf file with another boot.elf file. And it didnt work. :( So maybe you cant install the exploit with a direct copy and paste?. And need to do some unpacking or packing etc. Or cd exploit...

Darn. Hopefully walmart will let me get a refund on the gameshark, and I can get the action replay with memory stick for the same price I paid for the damned gameshark :P
