I am about ready to order a Qoob Pro for my Gamecube.

On the Qoob Pro installation you have to bridge two connections together (part C on diagram). What is the best way to do that? Short wire? I doubt you would want to solder across correct?

Just wanted to ask how some of you other guys/gals did it.

Also a few other questions.

1. My GC version is DOL-001. What revision is this? A, B, C? I saw this online on this site: http://cgfm2.emuviews.com/gc.php

There are apparently several revisions of the GameCube hardware sold in the US:

* Revision 1 - Original model.
* Revision 2 - Connector for "SERIAL PORT 2" is removed.
* Revision 3 - Connector for "SERIAL PORT 2" and "DIGITAL A/V OUT" are removed. Currently shipping.

I guess Revision 1 is Revision A, Revision 2 is Revision B, and Revision 3 is Revision C?

My version has BOTH the Serial port and Digital A/V Out. So I am assuming it is Revision 1? I remember buying it when it first came out (platinum edition).

2. I have a BBA adapter DOL-015. Guess that will work for transferring games or would it be better via USB with Qoob Pro (is that possible?)

3. Will I still be able to use my GBA adapter that is mounted to the bottom of my cube? DOL-017.

Thanks

Just bridge it with solder since they're close together anyway.

1. Correct. Whenever you get the chip, follow the installation instructions found here.

2. The qoob chips don't support USB ripping as the only chip that does is the ViperGC Extreme. So just use that BBA since you'll get good transfer speeds anyway if you set it up properly.

3. Yes.

Thanks goes out to theridges for the userbars :)

Thanks Venom5880.

Sitting here waiting for the turkey to be done and thought I would just take a peek at any responses. Hopefully here in next couple of weeks I can get that Qoob. Really looking forward to it.
