FU**ING SUCK!! I hate newsgroups. I have downloaded a game about 10 times.. every single time I get it and try to unrar it i get a corrupt file message.. I am getting FU**ing pissed.. someone please help me here.. I am using news.newsdemon.com and using newsrover as a client.. wtf am i doing wrong?

That's what the par2 files are for. You run them first. Doesn't take long. Then you unrar the files. Should've completely read the newsgroup guide. You would've had that game done on the first try. Which game is it, by the way?

Thanks guys.. I guess that is what I should have done.. I am a newbie.. and I read through the entire thing that came with the client. I did not see anything about how to save the files to a special location and I didnt see enything about a par2 file.. I appreciate the help and i bet i have about 10 games that will work after i try this the right way.. thanks again.. and btw GRAW was the first game and FEAR is the 2nd..

Ya, download quickpar. It's a small program. Once you dl and install it, then just doubleclick on any of the par files (which you should've dl'ed with the rest of the game). Put a check in the autorepair box and let it run.

I was just asking about the games because some of them might be region locked (if you didn't happen to know) but those are ok.

Getting setup to use newsgroups can be a little tricky at first, but once you get everything straightened out you'll wonder how anyone could use torrents :)

so what is the best client for downloading newsgroups? I used news rover for about 2 days and now all i get is that it is not propperly registered. I was using the 30 day trial.. anyway.. not sure, but i havent been able to fina ANY other clients that I like or that are as user friendly.. Thakns for any advice
