Im trying to backup a ps2 game i have and am trying to burn at 1x speed with DVD Decrypter and my burner is a benq dw1655 lightscribe. everytime i try to burn it at 1x spped it changes it by default to 4x and says thats the minimum. i read somewhere that its because of the burner.

can sum1 help me burn at 1x speed? and tell me what i have to do?

Burning at 4xs will not hurt. I have done it plenty of times. But as anyone will tell you, results do vary. The majority of my backed up games were burnt a that speed and all work fine. Give it a go and let us know what your results are. If the disc doesn't work, the true answer to your problem will probably be found here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/303681

I actually burn most of my games @ 8x on 16x fuji film -r media and they all seem to work great. When I run them through Nero cd/dvd speed they look great low low pie-pif. I thought half the speed of the rated media...i.e. 4x for 8x, 8x for 16x ....etc.
