alright i just bought a verbatim dvd+rw drive but shows up as nec dvd+rw nd-1100A drive and i have a v5 ps2 with a pnp mod.... has anyone used this burner before successfully in making games work? what software and brand of media were you using?

I tried using fujifilm dvd+r and ripped enter the matrix with dvd decrypter. now i have played cd backups before on it and they worked fine but this does not. Maybe because it is dvd i gotta boot it different?

The verbatim dvd+rw is the same thing as the nec nd-1100a.
I personally have the nec1000a and i have successfully backed up many ps2 games for my v7 ps2. I tried verbatim, fujifilm, and imation media. All three of them seem to work fine.

What ps2's play dvd-rw's? Can i burn a dvd and watch it on a v4 ps2 without a modchip? Thanks.
