does anyone else have a problem playing 60mhz games.i have a PAL system which runs fine with most games but with some it comes up you need to switch to 60mhz then when i do the screen goes funny.
does this have anything to do with pal/ntsc,i am presuming all my games are PAL.

If your TV does not support 60mhz then when you switch it over the picture will look rubbish, dard and grainy. Not much you can do except to get a new TV :-(

how are you viewing the games???

i mean using vga, hdmi or component?

the best one is usually vga for handling that.the tv you describe should be NTSC and 60hz compatible..check the manual or look on Google

whats the exact make and model of tv?

If you connect to the TV with a RGB scart(all pins connected) cable this bypasses the PAL and NTSC encoding. All the TV has to do is lock onto the 60Hz signal, and pretty much any set manufactured in the last 25years can do this. Also, you get a pin sharp picture.
If you want to continue using a composite video cable you may have to adjust your TV settings(my JVC TV has the option of PAL/NTSC/AUTO DETECT).
You can get an excellent RGB scart(by Venom) from Amazon for £11incl postage.
Hope this helps

I thought Xbox 360s - and most other consoles for that matter - have all sorts of problems running on Plasmas. I heard the picture freezes all the time.

scart lead...in that case usually that comes down to the port you have it plugged into on your tv.no doubt it has more than 1 scart slot on the back so plug it into another one.i have a tv that has 2 sockets for scart and if i put a region 1 dvd on the wrong one it will show in black and white but plug into the other its in full colour.give that a go..but your picture quality would improve times 10 if you use vga or hdmi connection..vga is better if you have it
