Emulators and programs running on PS2?

is it possible with a modchip to load emulators onto the ps2 such as SNES, GBA, kawaks etc
also if u hve a hard drive storing .avi and other video files, could the ps2 run Video Lan player to play them?
if so plz tell me how to do this and which modchip would be best suited for this type of thing

You can play sega genesis without a mod chip. You need action replay/gameshark or a boot disk. Then you can download pgen.elf and play them.

In case you don't feel like reading all of that site, here it is:
PGEN is a sega genesis emulator for ps2.
.elf for ps2 is just like .exe for pc.
You need action replay max to run .elf files.
If you have it, open the media player and insert the cd with the emulator.
You will need to use max media creator to burn the cd. It comes with ar max.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Or better yet a modchip (preferably with dev1/2 mode but not needed) then you wont need AR or max media creator.

or better yet a DMS4 Pro SE modchip with Toxic OS Mega Pack installed which includes 3 emulators that i know of, SNES station/PGEN/Wonder station (and maybe even a MAME, i don't recall right off hand) and countless other applications (any elf file) that can be ran from the application menu and don't have to be ran from Dev.olution mode

Ahh but you fail to realize that Toxic OS IS running is dev mode hahahaha!
Also all current chips have a mega pack. The CC has a wonderful mega pack that can be found here

Toxic OS is on chip operating system along with an on chip BIOS which is used to bypass the PS2s BIOS, no differently then your praised MI and CC. the OS portions just takes it a step further, now rather then running a PC in DOS (like your MI and CC would be) the DMS4 Pro SE is running Windows Vista. i fail in the realization of nothing, i quiet accurately realize you know next to nothing about the DMS chips and have some sort of vendetta to ridicule them and push the CC, maybe you're in the $$$ loop of the CC production, who knows........

Well I guess I need to school you an this. Toxic OS, as I'm sure you know is nothing more then an elf file. And in order fore the DMS4 to boot it it actually (yes believe it or not) is entering Dev mode. The CC chips do the same thing when it boots its OS (which is called Boot Manger). I like your analogy with the PC and Windows explanation, made me laugh again. Your such a funny boy KC, keep'em coming!
