disk tray stuck

hey
I was taking off the disk tray cover thing to use the swap magic tool but when i took the disk tray cover off and checked to see if the drive would open and close. it closed and when i open it,its comes out alittle bit then stopped so i tried to pull it out and it came all the way out then when i clicked the close button it moved about an inch or so then stops and then it comes out to where it was!
can somebody help me please will i need to take it apart?

Look into the disc tray and try to get a glimpse of the inside. While closing, does a round thing come up and block the tray from closing?

hey
yes it did come up and stop the tray closing but i took it apart today and took the tray off then put it back on right and its working again now!!

That exact same thing happened except i pressed eject then i opened up the flip top lid to see what it looked like in side and then the lens thing came up and it wouldn't close no matter what i did so what i did was unplug it and hit the try back in as hard as i could and it still works perfect im surprised by how hard i hit it.

The same thing happend to me and what skyline3 said is exactly what u have to do it is the best solution to your prob
