Sounds like GRAW might be faulty then, doesn't it? Check for scratches, marks and everything, give it a clean, and if it still won't read, take it back and get another copy.

That's ridiculous. Tell them you just want a new copy of GRAW and speak to the manager. If the manager says the same thing, whack him upside the chin and see if he re-considers.

They just want the entire package because it came in bundled. If they have to send that one game back, they have to replace an entire package that includes that game. It's not a "retail" priced game and if they replaced it with a retail priced game, they'd lose money. I understand but usually they'll bite the price if you argue and complain. Speaking to the manager can help but I'd suggest bringing the entire package back but not letting them switch out anything but the GRAW disc.

I would've said "Look here mo fugger. If that's the case then you send the damn thing back with the rest of these you have that don't work. In the meantime, give me another copy of GRAW or lose my business and I'll report your mo fuggin butts to the BBB."
They would've jumped then to help you.

You're much more forgiving than most of us here. I'm not hesitant to pull the BBB card on them when I get into these spots. I actually got a nice big mark against Best Buy as a corporation AND a franchise store location through a lot of anger. I'm particularly proud of that, not that it ultimately does much of anything, because people don't really check BBB lists before buying their new television set anyways; but hey, small victory.
And frankly, most of the time, store policy screeches to a halt upon the mention of BBB. It should NEVER be up to the consumer to deal with defective product that a store sells, especially when the staff indicates KNOWLEDGE of this. That's for the retailer to deal with, because they shouldn't be selling it knowing that.
They have the ability to open another copy of the game, switch the disc, and send back the recently opened package as a defect, it's not that hard.
You are so much more patient than I am. And it's a good thing for their sake, I've raised some serious H&D over 'store policy' and screwing the customer before.... Hee hee hee. I even beat Fry's Electronics, now THAT takes some effort, they're evil.
