is there a way that i can transfer my profile off of one 360 to another 360 ?

All you have to do is transfer your Xbox Live profile to a memory card and then from the memory card to the other 360. However, some downloadable content will have to be re-downloaded on the new 360. I guess this is to protect Microsoft from people giving their friends free downloadable content.
