Nokia DBox2 - service scan problems.

I was recently given a Nokia DBox2 with a Sportster 1.75 Ultra image. I was given the box free of charge because it would not pick up channels during a service scan. I flashed the Commando 6 image to the box, set my location and performed a service scan but I still don't pick up any channels. Has anyone experienced similar problems or have any suggestions as to what may be causing this?

could be a bad tuner inside the box.
