Panasonic DMR-ES10 Finalize problem

Tried to finalise a DVD-R disc on the Panasonic DMR-ES10 and according to the manual :
1. Press FUNCTIONS
2. Select "To Others" and Press Enter
3. Select "Disc Management" and Press Enter
4. Select "Auto Play Select" and Press Enter.
5. Select "Finalize" and Press Enter.
Instruction is fine except that after selecting "Disc Management" there is no "Auto Play Select" shown on the Screen. So how do you then complete steps 4 to 5?
Would owners of DMR-ES10 please help. I am sure you have the same Manual. So how do you finalize ?

i have the DMS-ES20D and i can't remember the exact menu options but it's real simple, i'll just check my options onscreen.
1. Press FUNCTIONS
2. Select "To Others" and Press Enter
3. Select "Disc Management" and Press Enter
(i have the 'Auto-Play select' option but haven't used it before so dunno what it does)
4. Select "Finalize" and Press Enter.
that's all i ever do to finalize discs and watch them on other machines..

I have a panasonic dvd recorder/vcr combo and would like to record a movie on channel 401 for example and my recorders channels do not go up that high. Can someone help me with how to set this up so can record higher numbered channels? Thanks and sorry if this not correct thread for this ?

Many thanks for your reply. However my problem is that the Manual says one thing while the actual screen says another. After selecting Disc Management it should display " Auto Play select" and then " Finalize" which is not displayed on the TV Screen to enable me to Finalize.
My question is do other people experience this missing information and if so how do they overcome this and finalize the DVD?

omissions from the manual/missing option aside, have you tried finalizing disc and playing it on a.n.other player ?

i posted how i personally do it in my first reply. have you tried that yet ?. and subsequently tried playing the disc in another player ?

I tried your suggestion but there is still the missing Options of "auto-play select" and "Finalize" in Steps 4 / 5. Without these two missing functions there is no way that I can finalize the DVD.
Is there a software patch to add this missing functions? Are there other owners experiencing this problem? Is this a known software problem?
