hi guys
newbie to 360 , what is the best media to use on a hitachi drive???
is there any other apart from verbs?
is it poss to copy a 360 game one to one??

yes mate there is decent enough discs to use other than verbs..i have used others and had no probs at all,boot first time and everytime since and i have the hitachi drive.initially i use verbatim but use others if cant get them.

the other brands i have used are ri-tek,datawrite and bulkpak printables all which have dark dye and have had no probs with them.my first back-up was on a bulkpak and that was kameo which was done ages ago and it still boots fine and plays fine.

yes you can clone a backed up game using clone cd or most other copy to copy programs once the first backup is done its the same as any other iso or image.

verbatims are the best no doubt but you can use others.

on the copy question is it poss to just copy disc to disc or do i need the files as i do not how to extract these and how to put them on disc thx again mate

when you say disc to disc..if you mean 360 original to blank dvd r straight copy then no thats not possible.if you mean copying a already backed up game then yes that can be done.

to extract game files into a working iso you will need a samsung dvd rom drive and schtrom v3.0 to do that.the thread you need to read is posted on the first page m8.the drives are cheap and its easy as pie to do as you dont need to do anything except extract it to a destination and its ready to burn,nopatching or merging is needed.you will however need clone cd version 5.2.9.1 fully registered to burn them

yes i did mean a backup to disc.. so originals need the files extracted then copied???

just read that tut on samsung drives and copying and it will explain all.

but copy to copy with backups use any copying software,the best i have used is the clone cd..and burn at 2.4 or 4x

sorry mate i thought it was a tut,your rightits just questions..however if you type in this SAMSUNG SH-D162 TUT then the search facility will find one that should help you out..if this doesnt i will do one myself probably tomorrow and post it up and you can read it there ok mate
