If your burner can't have the booktype changed to DVD-ROM with DVDinfopro then it probably won't work. Pioneer burners automatically set the booktype so those don't fall into that equation. I'm don't know of any other burners that automatically booktype.

i just bought a cheapo burner from staples.. it was on sale for 19.99 and it burns games flawlessly.. it was I/O magic, just a low end model.. works great..

I use a sony DW D22A and don't have to set the book type and it burns games just fine :-)
