HD tv or Monitor?

Hi, our son has a xbox 360 and now he wants a HD TV so he can get better graphics, but I was wondering if I could just use a hi spec monitor instead. Any info would be appreciated.

i go for a hd tv myself got my 360 rigged to my HDTV amazing the difference awesome.

I use a samsung 941BW 19" monitor and the Psyclone VGA cables and it looks amazing to all who see it! Plus it will save you a ton of money

If you don't want to shell out the money for a high quality HDTV then I'd suggest using RGB to a great monitor.

I use my 19'' LCD monitor it is very good quality. But you need a VGA adapter. I suggest the Monster Cable VGA instead of the official microsoft one.

I have my 360 linked to a Sony KDL-40W2000 and running 1t the highest HD resolution. Cinematic quality is what you get.

Truefully, i would wait after Christmas. There going to release a new type of tv(one that uses lasers) so the Plasmas would drop a lot. I just don't know how far into January/February it would come out.
