hi, i will tell you step my step what i did as to understand what i did:

i ripped a full DVD in DVD Copier to my harddrive and compressed it down to 4.7gb. then i made the Video_TS and Audio_TS files an ISO image.
next i ripped the episodes out of the iso using Imtoo DVD ripper and now whawt im left with is Six AVI files, BUT two of them; at the end of the actual episode there is extra just black screen playing over and over for quite some time.

and ive tried some Video editing tools (to cut the file down) with no sucess could someone please suggest any??? i have money for them id needed. thanks alot!

Liam

Do you have Nero or WinRAR? You can load the ISO using Image Drive or just extract the contents of the ISO using WinRAR. Then try to preview them to see if the original material is corrupt. AviDemux can do the editing of the AVI files, but I'm wondering if your source material isn't screwed up.

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

hi, i solved this a few days back.

the problem wasn't my soure material, the problem was the DVD ripping tool. it found a chapter where there was nothing, so proergated that with giving me loads of blackness, over and over. so i complained to ImToo and they say its my choice to buy the software!? :S

anyways, i re-ripped the episodes with magic dvd ripper and it worked fantastic! :)

cheers for help, hope this may help other people in the future
