Hi ive just recently converted an AVI Video file to MPEG2, its converted fine but when i try to play it theirs no sound, i can only see the picture why is this.

I was wondering when i actually start TMPGEnc it saids add video file and then below it add audio file. because i only added the video file and no sound thats maybe why im having the problem im not too sure.

Although i do not have a separate file for the audio its all in one file, any help would be nice, thank you.

TMPGEnc is terrible at audio, create a wav and enter the wav as the audio source: http://www.videohelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm GSpot can be used to see if the audio is AC3. Also, ensure that Option>Environmental Setting>VFAPI Plugin>Directshow Multimedia File Reader on main page (top left) is set to a priority of 2 by right clicking on it. There is also this AC3 Plug-in for TMPGEnc but I never used it: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/download/tsp_ac3.html No wav needed for AC3.
