WMV onto the 360 hardrive?

OK i've not long had my 360 and I know you can stream wmv files from your pc through you Xbox 360 but i don't see the point as you have to have both machines on at the same time when most PCs you can just simple hook up to the T.V anyway, So my question is

Is there away you can just transfer wmv files onto the XBox 360's Hardrive and just play straight from it like audio files?

nope,but you can put wmv videos on a usb stick and run em from there.

Only TV's that have a RGB or DVI port can accept native PC signals, unless you want S-Video...

You can connect a P.C to any T.V with a Scart Input And lets face it pretty much every T.V has them now adays for DVD players and such.

Yeah in the UK. No TV in the US has Scart
