Ok i just ordered a Magic 3.1 Modchip from http://www.myaffiliateprogram.com/u/easybuy2/t.asp?id=5918 as advertised on the pinned topic and im wondering if the modchip is a good one, i have read only one complain which said it doesnt read DVD-RW to good but thats not a problem for me. Also how long does it take them to ship the product out of their warehouse?

wow...... this topic reminds me so much of a topic i created exactly 1 year ago when i was trying to mod my old fat PS2 lol i bought a magic modchip and had the same questions... anyways the shipping will probably take 1-2 days to ship out the warehouse maybe longer if the payment was not confirmed they usually ship during the daytime on a day or the day after they receive full confirmation of the payment and then the shipping itself should take the most up to 10 days if you didn't order next or same day delivery.... Good luck with the chip bro and i hope you are getting someone to install it for you or your that your really good at soldering because it isn't as easy as it seems, i learned the hard way last year with that very chip, fried the motherboard and lost out on a few hundred dollars i spend preparing for everything :(

luckily my dad knows how to solder things and i have expierence burning/playing with metal with the soldering iron =]

the Magic line of chips is very outdated, they don't support dual layer discs either. they are dependable chips just not worth the hassle any longer, I've got several laying around that i installed many yrs ago and have replaced with newer more advanced chips. spend the extra 30 bucks and get a top of the line chip, it's worth it, trust me.

EDIT: i just looked at the link you provided, thats an outrageous price for the Magic chips, they shouldn't be more then 10 bucks shipped and usually allot less then that. that site only had DMS3's and they've been discontinued for at least a few yrs now. you should of done more homework before ordering. sorry
