i am new to the digital camcorder world and the digital world in general... i just got a samsung SC-D363 camcorder ... i have a usb connection but when i attempt to get what is on the SD memory card ... i can only get the audio protion of what was recorded ... any suggestions on where to begin ... I would like to be able to transfer from the SD card to my PC and possibly do some editing ... i am using the camera for home video and taping my 7th graders sports events ... I know that other cameras are better but this is the one I have and would like to make it work if I can ...

The SD memory card is for still pictures you have taken. You would have to get the video from the miniDV tape.
