i was playing all the games just fine on 2.71..

i have a ta-082, cracked with HENC an devhook luancher for 2.71.

i had the same 2 games running for a week now (Sonic and ATV offroad fury) and yesterday when trying to run one of these games it says "the system software of your psp system is version 2.71. to start you must update to version 2.81 or later. for update methods refer to the psp system instruction manual"

what happened? how do i get it fixed? everything worked fine up until now! :'(

help please.

you are using dark_alex version rite.try asking hackaday since he is using that.
i have no problem playin both games.i am using chunglam's devhook.
i too have a 2.71 TA-082.
but if u want to keep dark_alex devhook ask hackaday

In the Dev Hook options, make sure "UMD Version" is set to "2.xx --> 2.00" and not "no change"

And if that doesn't work, try renaming your folders. Sometimes, they get "stale". I once tried running NesterJ and it wouldn't launch. (I hadn't launched it in months.) So I quickly renamed the folders and it worked straight away.

yup i think so too,you have to change the "UMD SFO VERSION to "2.XX to 2.00 to play 2.80 or 2.81 games
