extracting wmv profile? and another question

here is what i'm trying to do. i have a wmv file, but i don't know its exact settings. is there a way/program to extract a wmv profile from a clip so i can import the profile in windows media encoder?

what i'm ultimately trying to do is to attach a still image in front of the wmv clip. i've already made a wmv of the still using the screen capture function of windows media encoder. i hope i can find a way to encode this using the extracted profile so i can join the 2 files together. any help would be appreciated.
