Alright, simple question...

after you flash the firmware, can you then just download a patched game off a newsgroup and play it or am I missing something?

I work for a certain game company that lets me try out games for a week but if I return them with any scatches or anything I pay full price.

So it isn't piracy if I download these games, then rent the game from my store, play the burned copy, and then stop playing the burned one when I return the original? Just making sure. I don't want to pay for another unwanted game again :p

Another question,

I have been reading Slyck's Newsgroups Guide and I was confused with one thing.

Do I need to pay for a NewsServer like Giganews? I checked with my ISP and they have a pretty crappy NewsServer so I was just wondering. Also, are the Newsgroups and NewsServers two different things, and if I wanted to download these patched games, where would I go?
