FTP to xbox help!

Im new to the whole modding deal, and I cannot connect to my xbox no matter what i do, i am using Flash FXP and i have a cross over cable, i have followed and read many tuts on and followed them,but i can never connect. It always says "operation timed out" or no host found, can someone help me?

yeah, i have it going as a direct connection to my xbox to my computer. Xbox is on, and i change the IP, DNS, Gateway like the tuts say, but it still will not connect. i have Zone Alarm, and Norton on my computer as well is that helps any with the issue.

have you configuered the IP/User Name/Password on the XBOX yet??
if so then just match those to the connection you set up in the FTP program and it'll connect.

try this... connect everything to ur computer first, DON'T turn ur xbox on yet. change all the settings, in ur xbox (if u need to), in ur networking settings, and in flash fxp... in flash fxp, uncheck pasv mode.

after u do all that THEN u can turn ur xbox on.

What kind of Chip do you have for your Xbox? If it's an Xecuter 3 Chip, the Username and Password by default, is X3 and X3. Also you can try xbox and xbox, for the Username and Password.

the Xecuter is default x3 not X3 on the many i've installed.
