Ok i have a modded slim ps2 with the Matrix infinity modchip in it and some times when i playing a game it skips or freezes. I have heard of other people having the same problem so i set out on a mission on how to fix this problem. I have heard of people setting a normal full size window fan in front of there system to cool it down i tryed that and it seems to work but its hard to hear the game with the fan on. The next thing is if you can dont set your ps2 on carpet or the floor as it can stop from letting the heat out so i went and got a vertical slim ps2 stand and it works alot better becasue the ps2 aint setting on anything to pervent it from releasing the heat. If you dont like puting a fan in front of your system (i dont) becasue it makes too much noise there is a other way to cool it down.It is called a ps2 slim cooling fan it plugs into the usb drive of your ps2 so there are no batteries need all the power comes from the systems usb drive. So in conclusion the best solution for your over heating slim ps2 is to buy a slim vertical ps2 stand and a ps2 slim usb cooling fan.

Ok, if you say so.
Personally the best solution is a house with air conditioning so it will never overheat.
A small fan like that will help a little but has no where near the airflow of a smaller house fan. If you can't hear THEN TURN UP THE VOLUME!

The vertical stand you can buy and that will help. Or just find something like a shoebox and used that to set the PS2 up on so the vents are clear of your carpet. Mine sits on my old V7 fat PS2
