I posted this thread in the Ps2 CD Backup section of the forum and now I realise that it wasnt the right section to post. I am really sorry about this.
Here is my problem
I just purchased a slim version of the ps2 and this gameshark with it:

I burned one of the games using DVD+R Ridata discs. It was an ISO and I burned it through the disc image thing on Nero Express. This is what the dvd's that I bought look like.

I am just wondering why isnt it working. I also want to note that my disc is not spining while the tray is open. Its suppose to I assume from watching all the videos on youtube.
Anyways I also bought Swap Magic version 3.6 but even when I load that in, its not spining the disc while the tray is open.
Is there any way I can play copied games or do I need to buy more things?? I have spent quiet the money and I really cant order anything from online at this point. My last option is to go to Pacific Mall here in Toronto and pay the guys to do a hard mod. I have no idea how much that is going to cost me.
If you can give some sort of advice that would be great. Thanks ahead

just look somewhere for the "tape and tissue"method.in order to make your slimline ps2 work with swap magic.look in the forums.and use good media to burn your backups(with sony DVD-R and tdk i have 100% success-backed up over 50 games).try also to find what games need rebuilding.for everything i mention there are guides in the forums.

Thank you very much. I am looking at the tape and tissue method that you just mentioned. I will definetly do it I just hope its safe and I dont screw up my ps2. Worst comes to worst I can always return it back the way it was.

Alright well I followed the tape and tissue rule and I still wasnt able to boot up the burned iso. My ps2 flip top cover keeps on opening up like it wont stay down. Is it suppose to be that way when you do the tape and tissue method on it?? I tried to boot up the iso using swap magic 3.6 now I think I will try out my gameshark. I dont understand what I am doing wrong. I also followed the burning of an iso onto a dvd instructions and its still not working. I am trying to play Tony Hawk 8 by the way for the ps2.

All the slimline's lid sensors need to be blocked so that you can swap discs without the PS2 knowing that the lid is open & you've done a swap. Didnt you get a set of Magic Keys for the slimline when you bought SM3.6?
That's the easiest way to do it (either that or a custom replacement fliptop case)
And that version of Gameshark won't allow you to boot backups on its own.
Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Well I originally ordered my ps2 swap magic 3.6 with a slide card but after trying to do it I screwed up my ps2 tray. So my fat ps2 is a goner. Now all I have left is this brand new slim line ps2, this gameshark and a swap magic 3.6. I know laugh at me please. 4 years without moding a console, now that I finally decide to do it I screw up. GJ me

Ok, what you need to do is this.
1. find out what the model number on your sticker that the PS2 has
is. Then look at an online guide to see what version you have.
V12,V12,V13 or so on.
2. then get a set of magic keys for that version PS2
and so you know many, many people have problems trying to play games with cheat codes when using Swap Magic. So unless someone has found a fool proof method you may not be able to load your games with cheats. I know of one way that worked for me, but may not work for everyone.

there is one there that worked for me with AR Max and and old PS2 but i did not try it on a slimline as mine has a modchip.

Alright, thank you very much. I just looked at the back of my ps2 and I found out the model number is SCPH-75001. So that makes it version 14 on the ps2 chart. I will now search the forum and look for a way to mod it. I really cant order anything online anymore after blowing out 67$ on a slide card and swap magic for the previous ps2 console. The site you gave me is also useful, I am pretty sure though that there is something on the forum I might have missed that could help me.
