Hi Sudds I was trying to get it to work also, but it only lets me use firmware v2.71 and below.I was wondering do you have to upgrade firmware to v2.82 in order get higher firmware usage in devhook.

Do not upgrade!
The link i give is my 0.50 DevHook and it does emulate 2.82.
FW PATH:/dh/282:ms0:/dh/282/f0 , /dh/28x;ms0:/dh282/f1
When you get to its menu it will display this, you have no need to select any firmware.

I tried it out,but everytime I click on start in devhook 0.50 it freezes. The steps I used are as follows:
1.)I made a backup of what I had, then put the files you suggested on there.
2.)I booted up HenD like I normally do,and then went to devhook0.4x for 2.71
3.)While in devhook0.4x for 2.71 I went to the firmware option and changed it to 1.50 and went to boot select and used umd select. It boots me into firmware 1.50.
4.)I then go into devhook 0.50 beta, and then setup my settings the way I like, but whenever I try to start devhook it always freezes.
I'm sure I didn't follow it right, but let me know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks in advance also, cause it is probably something dumb on my part I'm doing.

I've been using devhook v0.46 before using 0.50,just not sure why it keeps freezing.I swapped out a couple files though that you had in your package Sudds, just to get to firmware 1.50 though.I noticed some things different,in the __SCE__DH_ENG folder the file size was different for me.The eboot.pbp file is 49kb in size, and my dh folder is completely different.

I think I know why it isn't working though, cause I would need to use a firmware upgrade for v2.82 with a nonexistant devhook0.4x launcher for 2.82 in order to use the 2.82 firmware. Thanks for the help though I appreciate it,but I know this isn't gonna work for me after looking at it.

It doesn't work because devhook .50 and .51 is complied against 1.5 kernel. So it can not be started from within 2.71 kernel. And it can't be startred from a 1.5 emulated kernel on a TA-082 becuse directory and file structure of .46 is the same as .50 and .51 (in dh folder) and thus it's not possible to have both .46 (needed to start emulated 1.50) and .51 (needed to start emulated 2.82) on the same memroy stick. However - one could experiment with some memory stick swapping... as in:
1. Sart 1.5 from first stick
2. Swap sticks
3. Start 2.82 from second stick.
It would take some thought as to what files need to be placed where in order for this to have a fighting chance of working... But if it is in fact possible - it should not be all that complicated (given that only 2 firmwares and a couple of directories are involved). I will give this a shot later tonight and report my findings.
Untill somobody more knolegabe recompiles devhook .50 or .51 for 1.71 - I'm affraid this will be our only hope...
Michael

Sudds - have you upgraded to devhook 0.51 with 3.01 firmware? If so - could you kindly make a smiliar file available for the 0.51 devhook? I've read that dark_alex is working on 0.51 for 1.71 but in the mean time would love to experiment with some memory stick swapping to try and run 0.46 + 1.50 and then 0.51 with 3.01 from a second mem stick...
Thanks in advance,
Michael

That, unfortunately, I do not yet know how to do... Is there a thread that explains this? Or perhaps even better - would you be willling to rar up contesnts of your mem stick and post some place?
Thanks,
Michael
