Here is the Graphical results of the Datawrite 4x Riteks. I'll be testing them tomorrow for compatibility and giving my verdict. I feel they are pretty good discs though. not as good as the clone disc ritek.

Hi Chris

Great site m8! Very informative..

On the subject of clone riteks, I notice in one of your tests a <1 second pause happened after 3gb on Nero dvd speed. Is this pause on the original disc as well? I know the samsung S224's pause on dual layer transition a lot (even with copies which is weird?)..

Still using my cheapo discs, backed up vanilla sky last night, no problems at all. Except a VERY slight frame choppiness now and then, i had to rewind to check as so minor, it generally disappeared on playback.. A bit annoying but how perfect does it need to be? Bottomline is you have to pay for quality discs, look at verbatim and pioneer..

Jonnydoe: There was no pause on the original disc. It wasnt as much a pause as a re-read situation. The reason for the pause si that the data on the disc cannot be read first time. It slows the transfer rate and the dsc spin down to try to read it again. A 1 second pause is nothing in a DVD-R really.
Im glad you like the site.

Also, the traxdata discs are very very good. As you suggested, Ritek own the Traxdata brandand it is their premium brand that they keep the best discs for. However, the also give Clone Disc their best discs, so i doubt that there is any difference in the actual discs. I haven't recieved on to test, but ill look into it.
