i accidently dropped my memory card and i thought sumthing inside broke...i shook it but heard no rattling...so i was kinda relieved...when i put the memory in my ps2 it wasnt read....i looked inside of the memory card and saw it looked as if sumthing wuz cut off...i think part of the chip broke off...well then again it looks like it in my eyes...WHAT DO I DO TO FIX MY MEMORY CARD CUZ MOST OF MY DATA WUZ ON DAT!?

try to use cillit bang it might work you will need to buy a new memory card because it will cost you to much to repair

you will need to solder the 'chip' back but there is a big chance of you screwing it up, so it would be easier if you buy a new memory card

nope there is no way you can try move your data to one card to another

why dont you just buy a new memory card and complete the games again

What do you mean transfer it into another memory card ? The PS2 does not read the case it reads the chip and the chances are the chip is either corrupted... memory cards aren't that expensive anymore maybe $25 a piece.... if you have swap magic or a way to boot homebrew you can try a program called MCKiller which will reformat dead memory cards you can find that here: http://www.sksapps.com/mis/MCKiller.zip Besides that there is no other way to reformat a memory card.

NOTE: you will loose all the saves on the card if you use the tool above because what it does is revives the memory card if it was currupted and allows you to start over like new but then again if you buy a new one you will do the same.
