i have a sammy ts-h493 drive with the ms25 on it that im trying to upgrade the firmware for a buddy. i recently upgraded the firmware on my hitachi drive and it was very simple via the connectivity kit. my question is i have been reading all posts about the sammy dive and they all say to power the xbox 360 together with the pc, can i just use the connectivity kit instead? another question i have is that i have also read to flash the drive you have to do it via a floppy disk. well i dont have a floppy drive, is there a utility you can use to flash within windows like the hitachi drive or maybe a cd boot of the same files would work? any help would me most appreciated. thanks
