right i am know on me second xbox 1st one i got the e66 error so bought another one and put hd on mw new one and it wants to update again it am currentlt running

jan 2006 ms25 drive with 4.2a firmware

wont let me play games unless i update and dont wana reformat coz will loose all me saved games

any1 know if i am gona be safe to do this update or not.

I think if you update the MS25 with 4.2 it will give you that E66 error. Something to do with it being based on the M28 firmware. I'd say do 3.3 on the OLD 360 first and see if that helps that E66 error.

reformated it and it has stoped asking me to update so all is good lol got about %70 through fight night 3 aswel lol

wait help me out on this.

i have ms28 im still on FW 3.3 and i havent done the major dashboard update yet! i know if i do it will give me error. i herad i need to flash drive to 4.2(latest) then update.

am i correct?

i doesnt matter what fw u have will still get it dont do the update if you have a flashed xbox then be wery of any updates.
