5 coasters and counting, whats the problem?

Hey,
I have burned 5 times a game i have, in, both .iso format, and .000 format, and i have a .dvdfile.
i got them from newsgroups which i pay for.
i have a lg GSA - 4167B DVD Burner --- IS this the problem??
I have used clone cd, to burn the image, onto the
aone dl 8.5gb disks at 2.4x
can someone please help me get some games working on my xtreme modded 360?
When i put the disk in, it goes to a black screen, makes wierd noises in the drive and tells me to clean the disk.
im willing to pay money for someone to help me, ive got 3 games i want.

try a different brand of media ... if you can buy a single dual layer verbatim disc if this works you know youve cracked it ....also always burn the .dvd file usually between 20 to 40 bytes i use imgburn for my files .... are you using the latest clonecd?

Not sure about the drive but i would recommend verbatim media. I spent a long time reading up about backups before I took the plunge and verbatims are widely regarding as the best. So far I have done about 15 without fail on my 111d burner. As back up says aswell make sure you have the latest version of cone cd and use the .dvd file everytime.

im using version 5.2.9.1 ?? if thats the newest?

yeah thats the newest ..... :) i dont download the game backups i use a sammy 162 for ripping but i do use a pioneer for burning but this may not be your case try the media solution first as this way you could save money on the drive and spend it on the verbs...LOL

thanks mate for your replies, do you know of the cheapest place to get a verbatim dvd dl? and ill order a few to try them out, then if it works the rest can be used as frizbys!

now thats a million dollar question they are like rocking horse s'it at the momement to buy in bulk unless you use ebay ...but some times they are overpriced ... make sure if you do go the ebay route to ask for the dye code before buying any .....
are you in the uk ??? try SVP for media but they had sold out the last time i looked or try some ritek again if you are in the uk i know a place that currenlty have some ritek in stock,, a bit pricey compared to other media but i guess you get what you pay for

just try one at its rated speed it should take about 45mins to burn ... the media you are currently using is most probably the cause ... to be honest i dont know if you can overspeed this media anyway(aone)

open clone cd, press browse image, click on the 4kb dvd file yes??
press next, put in the dvd, press burn at 8x
and wait 45 mins
and put it in the xbox....
theres nothing im missing is there???

4kb file?????? these should be at least 20 to 40 bytes for the 360

slow your speed to 2.4 if this doesnt work try another brand of media VERBATIM are highly recommended

do you have "dvdinfopro"? You have to have this so you can change the bit setting of your dvd burner.. the but setting has to be
DVD-ROM.. instead of DVD+R DL or whatever it is defaulted to.
