pioneer 111d stops writing pleaser help.

i have been doing my xbox360 backups on the pioneer 111d with a housing to make the dvd writer external as i have a laptop.recently using clonecd or imgburn the writing speed will slow down to nothing.when i try a single layer dvd it will write no problem,it's only when i try to burn dual layers that this will happen.i always use verb's for my backups.i have saved my last log from imgburn in the hope that someone can tell me what the problems is.thanks.......sudeki300

are you manually setting the layer break??? for the dual layer media with imgburn?

yes when im using imgburn i always check that the layer break is 1913760.it has only started happening and always at different percentages.if the burner is burning dvd 5 with no prob's it must be something with the burner when burning dual layers,cos if it was the caddie that it is housed in would'nt also do this on the dvd 5's.the pioneer is not even that old and i always keep it covered when not using it to try to keep it dust free.............sudeki300

maybe it just keeps timing out due to the usb connection have you tried slowing the speed down to its rated 2.4

i always use the recommened speed of x2.4 i never go above that speed.it just seems strange....sudeki300

okay try running this application before starting the burning process
but make sure you protect your antivirus programs by padlocking them ...also make sure you read about this util and dont remove any of the padlocks that already appear in the userface enditall this will disable any programs running in the background that may be interfering.... this is a powerfull application
