i just wanted to know if there is a difrence in the 2 disk? one says swap magic 3.6 ( blue) the other swap magic 3.6 plus(white). i curently have the 3.6 plus disk (white) and it works fine, but looking to buy anotherone, wich i found cheap, but it dosnt say plus and its blue not white.it says its compatable with the scph7000 model, i have a slim line is that the same model?. thanx for any help

i think one is to boot CD backups and one is to boot DVD backups, from what ive read

Easy to check. Look on the disk for either a CD or DVD logo. This will tell you which disks it will boot. Other than that, the version isn't too important if they're both 3.6. There is also a newer version called Coder, which has Action Replay codes built in.

Edit: Check on the rear of your PSTwo for the model number. Also from what I've read on their site, the only main differences between the versions are the ability to load from a USB device and a few compatibility improvements. But it is suitable for newer PSTwo units.

Blue discs used in the PS2 are CD based and you can back those up onto a CD. The white discs can be backed up onto DVDs.

yup, when i got my 3.6 plus it come with 2 white disks one cd and one dvd. so it sounds like i would be able to use the blue disks cd and dvd.

Sorry to disagree with you, but white disks are 3.6 plus and blue ones are 3.6 (Without the plus). Here's a couple of pics to prove it.

yes those are the ones i have the plus ones, my buddy has the blue disks for his ps2 the older version (non slimline) so i guess the blue ones will still work on my slimline?

A friend of mine is using a 3.2 Swap magic disk in his slim PSTwo, so I would assume that the old 3.6 should work just fine.
