Black Screen with Ethernet Adaptor

My PS2 (50004 - silver, EUROPE and a 30004, black, EUROPE) doesnt reconize the ethernet adaptor.

I think it was a HDD malfunction that causes the problem and that damage my two PS2.

It works fine without the ethernet adaptor, but with the adaptor (without HDD), it doesnt reconize the adaptor and takes about 2 minutes to start reading the DVD.

After the Silver one starts to give this problem, i tested the adaptor (without the HDD ) on the Black and it works fine, after i install the HHD on the black one it shows exaclty the same problem as the other.

The adaptor was tested in other PS2 and works just fine. The HHD was tested in a PC and it starts to sparkle (short-circuit) in the HHD board.

Whats going wrong!? I now have 2 PS2 to repair....
