hi,

what broadband speed do I need for xbox live. I was told 1meg would be ok but i've been having problems with fifa world cup(slugish and jumping)

1MB may work, but that is not a really fast braodband connection these dyas. Most are 2GB and above.
Like mine is 5GB and it works great with no pauses or skipping.

It depends a lot on your upload and download speeds.
The minimum requirement listed is 64KBs/64KBs
64KBs download is a speed well below a 1MB connection.
so use the internet and do a speed test on your connection and post what it gives you.

5GB!!!!???
What do you have, a hardwired T4 line into the internet backbone?
The Xbox doesn't do anything faster than 100 Megabits/sec and FTP transfers don't go much faster than 8-10 Megabytes/sec.

I think he means 5 Megabits/sec.

Most cable modem systems can do that and this is fine for most games.

If i had a 5GB connection i could rule the world, LOL
