I have a WinFast 2000XP capture card by Leadtek. I am currently trying to capture some VHS videos to my HD so I can burn to DVD...I can watch TV with the card...good picture and sound however when I go to watch my Video movies there is no sound....I ust cant figure this one out.

Heres a screen shot if that will help, Cheers.

EDIT: Also tried Master Stream as Audio
I've been trying for hours, I've had enough so I'm off to bed.

Just wondering, are you connecting the audio from your VCR to your capture card or to your sound card?

I'm not familiar with the WinFast card but most capture cards process the audio on the card itself. If you connect the VCR audio to your sound card instead of your capture card (and then use your capture cards software) it will sound great during the capture but the captured file won't have audio.

Not sure if that's what's happening in your case, but just a thought.

I have tried both ways and have come to the conclusion that my capture card is cactus, thanks for your reply.

With the screen shot you have chosen you would have to use your sound card for capturing the audio. For the audio device can you choose the TV2000 as an option? Also why is line in also audio out? You should also check to make sure that you have line-in and it isn't the microphone. Some on board audio cards only have line out and microphone (I think line-in is blue). Also under audio recording controls try selecting the line-in and see if that makes a difference.\

Also if you are using your audio card for audio capture then your capture card is probably fine. More than likely it is a setup problem.

Replaced capture card under warranty claim, now all is well, working perfectly, thanks for your ideas.
